Derek Amey has been promoted to Director of Operations at StrategicPoint Investment Advisors. In this role, Derek is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the broker-dealer, StrategicPoint Securities, with a focus on the systems and procedures required to support StrategicPoint Investment Advisors’ mission and goals in the marketplace.
Derek will continue to serve as Portfolio Manager. He is a member of the company’s Portfolio Management Committee, which oversees the firm’s nearly $450 million investment portfolio. Derek is also an Investment Advisor Representative, providing wealth management to the firm’s clients. He has been with the firm since 2001 and is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island with a BS in Business Administration. He holds the FINRA Series 24, 7, 4, 53, 55 and 66 licenses. He appears as a regular guest on WJAR/NBC10's Sunrise Show with Frank Coletta.
