Helping Women Become (and Stay) Financially Independent On Tuesday, April 27th, sixty women gathered at The Rhode Island Foundation to listen to three female leaders speak on the topic, “Helping Women Become (and Stay) Financially Independent.” Moderated by WJAR’s Patrice Wood, the panel included:
• Betsey Purinton, CFP®, Managing Director from StrategicPoint Investment Advisors: Successful Wealth Management for Women
• Deborah DiNardo, Counselor at Law, Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP: The Importance of Life Care Planning
• Carol Golden, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, The Rhode Island Foundation: The Power of Philanthropic Giving
“Our goal was to address some of the unique obstacles and opportunities facing women today,” commented StrategicPoint’s Betsey Purinton. “Women control 51% of the private wealth in this country, yet they often admit to not feeling confident about their financial decisions. The Women's Planning Initiative was designed to educate women about choices, allowing them become more independent and in control.” Learn more about The Women's Planning Initiative
