Women’s Planning Initiative

The Women’s Planning Initiative (WPI) is an educational effort focusing on helping women become and stay financially independent. It caters to the unique needs of successful women who often find themselves dealing with the challenges of handling their own finances.  The WPI addresses the unique obstacles facing women and empowers them to make more competent, knowledgeable decisions.

The WPI was founded in 2009 and is led by Betsey A. Purinton, CFP^®, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at StrategicPoint Investment Advisors.

The WPI sponsors educational events and publishes a quarterly newsletter. Presentation topics at recent seminars  have included: “Helping Women Become (and Stay) Financially Independent” and “Intergenerational Communication: Money – How to Talk About It and Why.”  The newsletter The Power of Money provides planning insights and advice on women’s financial well being.
