StrategicPoint Promotes Leadership Team

Promotions recognize important contributions to firm’s work

Providence, Rhode Island – StrategicPoint, an independent investment advisory firm, today announced that Richard J. Anzelone, Esq. and Betsey A. Purinton, CFP®, have stepped into leadership positions at the firm. Both have been promoted to Managing Director and are responsible for managing the firm’s strategic direction and operations so as to provide the best possible client service. Anzelone and Purinton have been with StrategicPoint for 11 and 9 years respectively, and bring over 30 years of professional experience to their new positions.

Anzelone, who also serves as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) said, “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to drive StrategicPoint’s development going forward. As an independent firm, established in 1989, we have seen many different market cycles and recognize the importance of standing with our clients and our local community through these challenging financial times.”

Anzelone was formerly General Counsel for StrategicPoint. He will continue to serve as Senior Financial Advisor and CCO for StrategicPoint Investment Advisors, as well as President & CEO for StrategicPoint Securities. Before joining StrategicPoint, Anzelone was with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corporation and Textron Financial Corporation.

Anzelone holds a BS in Finance from Bryant University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton University School of Law. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and holds the FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses.

Purinton, who also serves as Chief Investment Officer of StrategicPoint Investment Advisors and as Senior Financial Advisor to the firm’s clients, said, “I believe our independence and pro-active investment strategy, which is not tied to particular products or investment options, is a solution that many investors are seeking out. Purinton holds a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Colorado, has a Certificate in Financial Planning from Bryant University and is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. She appears as a regular guest on WJAR/NBC10's Sunrise Show with Frank Coletta and is Chairman of The Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island.

StrategicPoint has long taken pride in closely communicating with clients in order to keep them abreast of the firm’s investment strategy and view of current market events. The firm publishes weekly newsletters, schedules town hall conference calls, makes regular television appearances and coordinates special events. Recently, StrategicPoint hosted an event at the Providence Renaissance Hotel to discuss the state of the financial markets, which was especially well-attended. “It was an honor to host our clients and friends at such an informative and collaborative forum.
